“A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square”
Katzenjammers, Princeton University
Words and music by Eric Maschwitz and Manning Sherwin
Arranged by Gene Puerling
Arrangement originally performed by Manhattan Transfer.
Founded in 1973, the Princeton Katzenjammers are the oldest mixed voice collegiate a cappella group in the Ivy League (and to the best of our knowledge, in the entire United States). Since then, we’ve continued entertaining audiences with our varied repertoire, singing everything from Jazz standards to staples of Musical Theater.
