A Night of Harmony and Hope Raises $35,000 for Shelter Programs
As part of our 75th anniversary reunion weekend, the Augmented 8 proudly presented the 34th annual Sing Out for Shelter concert, raising more than $35,000 this year for charity partners serving people experiencing homelessness in Washington, D.C., and the surrounding region.
Hosted by CNN’s Jim Sciutto, the concert brought together an outstanding lineup of vocal talent, including Arlington’s Yorktown A Cappella, Baltimore’s championship barbershop quartet GQ, and The Gentlemen of the College of William & Mary.
Two videos from the event are now available to watch: the full concert performance featuring all guest groups, and a shorter program showcasing only the Augmented 8. Our set was especially meaningful, celebrating the musical roots of the group with songs connected to our earliest years and traditions.
