Augmented 8 75th Events and Registration
We hope that alums and their friends and family will join us for this gala weekend of song, fellowship, song, food, and more song. Events include Friday Dinner (including we hope some singing with our alums) and Sunday Brunch at the Chevy Chase Club (rooms available) and our 34th annual Sing Out for Shelter concert raising funds to support local charities serving persons experiencing homelessness.
March 6

March 7
The Chevy Chase Club is a short, flat walk from the District line, Chevy Chase Circle and Chevy Chase DC, and about a 1 mile walk to Friendship Heights. Both locations have shops and restaurants, and there is a subway stop at Friendship for those wishing to see downtown Washington (or downtown Bethesda, which those of you who lived here in the 20th Century won’t recognize).
- President John Symington and Meg are hosting a pre-concert reception with hors d’oeuvres and drinks at their house, 4674 Garfield St. NW, 2007 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
If you prefer a sit-down dinner, there are 3 restaurants a short walk across New Mexico Ave, all at 3201:
- Chef Geoff’s (202) 237-7800. Modern American, casual, takes reservations.
- Al Dente (202) 244-2233. Italian, casual, takes reservations.
- Wagshal’s (202) 363-5698. A DC institution, deli with some seating, no reservations.
